Mark Olson, MBA, CIMA®, President

Mr. Olson has served as President since 2003; in this role he oversees the daily operations of the Registered Investment Advisory Firm and all investment processes.  Mr. Olson is an honor graduate from Spring Arbor University with a B.A. and Master’s degree in Business Administration.  Mark also holds the Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®) designation from the Investment Management Consultants Association and The Wharton School at The University of Pennsylvania.   Prior to joining The Free Methodist Foundation in 1999 Mark had 20 years’ experience in finance, operations and executive management.  Mark is an active member on the finance committee at Allegiance Health and is the chairman of the health systems investment committee.  Mark is also on the board of the Butterfield Memorial Foundation and is a member of its investment committee.

Kirk A. Hoffman, CASL, CFP
®, ChFC, CLU, Vice President of Planning Service

Mr. Hoffman has served as Vice President of Planning Services since 2004 and is responsible for financial planning based on specific client objectives.   He is a graduate of Western Michigan University (B.B.A.), a CFP® (CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™), and has the CASL (Chartered Advisor for Senior Living), ChFC (Chartered Financial Consultant), and CLU (Chartered Life Underwriter) designations from the American College. 

Prior to his position with GuideStream, Mr. Hoffman worked in financial services specializing in individual estate and retirement planning as well as the design and implementation of employee benefit plans. He has been providing financial planning services since 1986.  He is a member and past president of NAIFA-Jackson and the Jackson Estate Planning Council.  He is a member of the Financial Planning Association and the Society of Financial Services Professionals.  His is a member and past president of the Rotary Club of Jackson; president of the Rotary Foundation of Jackson County; past president of the WMU Alumni Association; and serves on the Free Methodist Church of North America Benefits Committee.  He volunteers at the Immanuel Lutheran Church food pantry; the Jackson Interfaith Shelter; Jackson High School; and disAbility Connections.  

Jeffery E. McGraw, CFP®, Vice President of Client Services

Mr. McGraw has served as Vice President of Client Services since 2003 and he has served within the Free Methodist Foundation since 1999.  In his current role, he is responsible for assisting clients with financial planning and investment strategy, including the day-to-day investment of client accounts.  He is a graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University with a B.S. degree in business administration and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Certificant.  The CFP® designation identifies those individuals who have met the rigorous education, experience, and ethics requirements of the CFP Board, have successfully completed financial planning coursework, and have successfully completed financial planning coursework, and have passed the comprehensive CFP® Certification Examination.  

Mr. McGraw was previously a branch manager and business development officer for a Michigan bank, where he was responsible for new deposits, mortgages, consumer lending, and managing the staff at his office.  Mr. McGraw is a past Vice President of the Greater Croswell-Lexington (Michigan) Chamber of Commerce, former board member of the Council for the Prevention of Child Abuse & Neglect (Jackson, Michigan), and has served Spring Arbor Free Methodist Church in various roles, including Finance Committee chair, renovation capital campaign co-chair, and currently serves as a member of the church’s Board of Ministry.

Scott Blakemore, Adviser

Mr. Blakemore serves as a Financial Adviser with GuideStream Financial.  In this role, he is responsible for assisting clients with financial planning and investment strategies.  He is a graduate of Purdue University with a B.S. degree in business management and finance.

Before joining GuideStream Financial, Mr. Blakemore had more than 15 years business experience using his strengths for strategic planning, operations, customer relations and marketing.  Mr. Blakemore has served his church in various roles including: board member, teacher and member of the Discipleship Leadership team.  He currently leads the Men’s Fellowship Breakfast and a small group.


Joshua D. Adams, IT Manager

Mr. Adams serves as the organization’s Manager of Information Technology.  Mr. Adams is a graduate of Spring Arbor University, having completed both his Bachelor’s and Masters of Business Administration (MBA) there.  Josh also holds the Security+® Certified Professional designation after passing the Security+ comprehensive security exam through CompTIA.   His prior job experience includes acting as Business Analyst for The Free Methodist Foundation.  Josh volunteers on the Information Technology Committee at the Center for Women Pregnancy Counseling Services located in Jackson, MI and helps other non-profit organizations with their technology as needed.

Joseph L. Crupper, Manager of Accounting

Mr. Crupper serves as GuideStream Financial’s Manager of Accounting.  In this role he oversees the day to day tasks of the accounting department, prepares financial statements and facilitates budget reporting.  Mr. Crupper is a graduate of Spring Arbor University with a Bachelor’s degree in accounting and business administration.  He holds a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certificate and has 12 years of accounting experience.  He is a member of the AICPA (American Institute of Certified Public Accountants) & the MACPA (Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants).  Joe also serves as Treasurer and Leadership Board member of Bretton Woods Covenant Church.

Laurie A. Frisbie, Client Account Administrator

Mrs. Frisbie provides great care to each account as it relates to cashiering activities, securities processing, account verifications and account changes.  Laurie monitors the client’s account data and verifies the investment models are appropriate as selected by client’s investment objective.   Laurie has 25 years of experience in legal, accounting and financial services operations.  Laurie leads a Community Prayer Group and is actively involved in her church as a member of the Vitality and Outreach Team as well as Children’s Ministries.

Kaitlyn G. Granger, Investment Services Associate

Mrs. Granger provides support to GuideStream Financial’s clients as Investment Services Associate.  She assists the advisory team and manages creation and maintenance of client accounts.  Kaitlyn is also available to answer questions or connect clients with the appropriate specialist.  She is an honor graduate of Spring Arbor University with prior work experience in other office environments.  Kaitlyn is a member of the Spring Arbor Free Methodist Church.

Rachel P. Gulledge, CPA, Compliance Manager 

Mrs. Gulledge serves as Manager of Compliance for GuideStream Financial.  In this capacity, she is responsible for the implementation of internal controls to assure the organization remains in compliance with Securities and Exchange Commission laws and regulations.  In addition, she assists in preparing various organization risk assessments and monitors the reporting of tax information to clients.  Rachel has an undergraduate degree in Accounting and Business Administration from Southern Wesleyan University and a Master’s of Professional Accountancy from Clemson University.  She is a CPA and is a member of the AICPA and the MACPA.   Her professional experience also includes public and corporate accounting and teaching accounting at the college and graduate levels.  She serves as President of the Vocal Boosters for Western High School and participates in the music and arts program of her church.

Caitlin A. Koppelman, Client Care Associate

Mrs. Koppelman serves as the receptionist, helping to care for client needs along the way. Her voice is usually the first voice heard when clients call GuideStream Financial.  Caitlin graduated with highest honors from Spring Arbor University and holds a BA in Christian Ministries. She has served in various aspects of ministry including missionary work, youth pastoring, mentoring, Christian education, and administration.

Daniel A. Kurtz, CFIRS, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Compliance Officer

Mr. Kurtz has served as Vice-President - Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer since 1998. As such, he oversees the accounting and operational aspects of the organization. Mr. Kurtz is a graduate of Spring Arbor University and his alma mater early on awarded him the designation of "Young Leader."  Prior to joining The Free Methodist Foundation (parent company of GuideStream Financial), he had 25 years of experience in progressive management responsibility with a national corporation in various areas of finance, including Manager of Financial Reporting and Planning, Manager of Cost and Budgets, and Manager of Financial Analysis.
